There are some things people don’t tell you when you’re in high school. And it has to do with what’s important and what doesn’t matter at all. And that B you got on that one final exam is one of the things that does not matter. Your first kiss isn’t that big of a deal. You’re not going to remember who you did or didn’t dance with at homecoming sophomore year. You’re also not going to remember the order you got picked for kickball in gym class. The things you should remember are actually people. Like the girl who sat next to you on the bus when you didn’t know anyone else. Or the guy who walked you home from that party you shouldn’t have even gone to. Or the person who took a weeks worth of notes for you when you were out sick. Because the bad memories aren’t going to matter, but the good people always do.
Wer für sein eigenes Glück auf andere angewiesen ist, wird unglücklich sein.
